Snow is expected most of the day Sunday with 4 to 8 inches falling in the Denver Metro Area. Strong wind gusts will limit visibility Sunday afternoon, potentially causing whiteout conditions along the Eastern Plains.

By 8:30 a.m., 154 flights had been canceled due to weather conditions, reports Denver International Airport. Before you head to the airport, check the status of your flight.
"Crews doing a great job keeping the taxiways and runways clear this morning. Delays due to blowing snow are likely as visibility is reduced," airport officials tweeted.
Colorado Department of Transportation has crews focused on plowing and treating interstates and major state routes. You can track CDOT snow plows on an interactive map.
"We urge people to stay behind the snow plow so the plows can do their job. That way everyone is safe," Tamara Rollison, Colorado Department of Transportation spokesperson said.
Rollison asks all motorists to limit travel and be prepared for difficult driving conditions. Traction and Chain Laws will be in effect for most of the day on the I-70 Mountain Corridor. Motorists are advised to drive on the I-70 Mountain Corridor if you do not have tire tread that measures at least 1/8.

Denver Public Works reported snow plow crews hit the streets at 4 a.m.
"At this hour, drivers are working to clear the main streets, dropping deicer as needed, utilizing the city’s fleet of 70 big plows," Denver Public Works said in a press release. "Residential plow drivers are also out this morning, addressing the side streets with small plows."
