DENVER — The first official snowfall in Denver came overnight Friday and early Saturday morning.
There was just enough mixing from rain to snow to leave a half inch of snow at DIA Saturday morning, making it the first official snowfall of the season.
On average, the first measurable snow in Denver falls on October 18. But as we all know, that can vary dramatically. The earliest first snow was on Sept. 3, 1961, and the latest was Nov. 21, 1934.
Our winner was Curtis Walker! He was the only person to predict the Saturday snowfall correctly. All of the guesses are below. Thank you to everyone who weighed in!
