Denver had its 2nd-hottest June on record

Nearly every day in the month of June saw above normal temperatures in Denver metro. This was the second-warmest June on record for the Denver area.

DENVER — If you thought June felt a little warmer than normal, you were right.

June 2024 finished as the second-hottest June ever recorded in Denver.

The average temperature at the official weather station at Denver International Airport (DIA) was 73.8 degrees in June. That was 5.6 degrees above the month-to-date average.

Only two days in June in Denver finished with below-average temperatures: Tuesday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 19.

The warmest June in Denver occurred in 2012, when the average temperature was 75.0 degrees, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
