First thing's first: Do not drive Wednesday unless you absolutely have to. This blizzard won't be blowing over.
Denver's Department of Public Safety said to always give yourself more time and space when driving in the blizzard conditions expected this afternoon and evening.
Teams with the city's public safety division are prepared and ready to help city residents during the probable blizzard Wednesday, according to a release from the agency.
Executive Director Tory Riggs said many city services are closing early due to the weather — city offices will shut down at 2 p.m. — first responders and emergency staffers will be available throughout the day.

All 24-hour services provided by the city will also continue to operate, including snow response and traffic ops. The public library and recreation centers will shut down at noon.
The release said public safety staffers will also make sure the city's most vulnerable residents are provided with services they need. To get someone shelter, please call 211 or the non-emergency number.
Please only use 911 if you're dealing with an immediate emergency and need help; otherwise, use the non-emergency number at 720-913-200. You can also text 911 in Denver.
The storm will likely cause outages throughout the region and Xcel said they are prepared and ready to repair any damage caused. The focus for repairs will be put on the outages affecting the most customers.
IMPORTANT! Was your street due to be street swept on the second Wednesday in April? That has been moved to APRIL 30 due to the snow.
No one will be ticketed if they don't move - but it'd be nice if you did! There's a lot of gunk and grime that gets into our waterways when it can't be cleaned up.
