DENVER — More light snow is likely on Christmas Eve, but the heaviest snow is likely over for most of eastern Colorado.
After 1-3 inches of snow in lower elevations overnight and 4"+ in the foothills, snow will wind down gradually through the day on Sunday, with an extra dusting to perhaps an additional inch of accumulation.
Most of the snow is likely done, though strong winds will linger throughout most of Sunday. Gusts could reach 50 mph on the Eastern Plains, with 40 mph gusts possible in the Denver area. Those relax tonight.
This could also lead to a (lightly) snowy Sunday night Broncos game at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, though the snow (at this point) looks mostly just light during the game on Sunday night.
The same storm could move back to the west, though, and produce more snow for the Eastern Plains on Tuesday morning. Watch out for potential blizzard conditions from Fort Morgan, Limon and points east of there on Tuesday.
Stay with us for the latest on this storm, and enjoy the mild weather while we've got it!
