One thing you can be sure of? The roads will be better no matter where you are – and the reason will feel very un-May-like.

9NEWS Reporter Colleen Ferreira was in the south part of the Denver metro area, where rain has already made the switch to snow.

As for 9NEWS Mountain Newsroom Reporter Matt Renoux, he was at the Eisenhower Tunnel, where snow coated the roads.

Interstate 70 was closed in the area for a while Thursday morning due to a wreck, but has since reopened.

Eastbound I-70 is closed at Vail due to multiple spun-out vehicles. There's no estimated time for reopening. The Colorado Department of Transportation says to expect delays.

US 6 is also closed at Loveland Pass due to a wreck involving a tanker truck.
