DENVER — A tornado watch was issued for Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Elbert, Lincoln, Morgan, Washington, and Weld counties at about 3 p.m. The watch extends to 10:00 p.m.
Severe storms rumbled across the Denver metro area earlier Sunday afternoon. Tornadoes, severe-sized hail and damaging 60+mph winds impacted much of region from 3 pm to 7 pm.
So far, we have not heard of any reports of damage from Sunday's severe storms.
Arrival and departure delays are expected at Denver International Airport. So far there are more than 400 delays and 42 cancellations, according to DIA officials.
Severe storms are also possible Monday afternoon across Northeastern Colorado. The biggest threats will be for large hail and damaging winds.
Cooler, rainy weather is expected Tuesday.
