Car caught in mudslide on US 285

No one was injured when a vehicle got caught in a mudslide on US 285 over Poncha Pass Tuesday afternoon, according to a tweet from the Colorado State Patrol.
The highway is closed while crews work to clean up the mudslide, which is reported to be several feet deep.

PONCHA SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Several vehicles have been caught in mudslides on Highway 285 south of Poncha Springs.

The Colorado State Patrol says there were no injuries but that one mudslide was deep enough to reach the windshields of cars.

The highway was closed Tuesday evening between mile markers 120 and 126.

There was no immediate estimate for when the highway would reopen.
