Colorado highway reopens after mudslide

Traffic was diverted after 300 feet of mudslide across Colorado Highway 82 near Carbondale.

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. — A mudslide forced Colorado Highway 82 in Garfield County to close Sunday morning.

Carbondale Fire District said about 300 feet of mud slid onto the highway due to a broken irrigation line at mile marker 14 east of Carbondale.

The highway reopened Sunday afternoon.
