The semi was going west on I-70 when it went over the median and into the barriers and eastbound lanes.
The driver, a 38-year-old man from California, had to be extricated but did not suffer life-threatening injuries, according to CSP.
CSP initially estimated 11:15 a.m. eastbound lanes would reopen in 4 to 8 hours. At 3:47 p.m. CSP said the lanes were back open.
The recommended detour route for eastbound traffic goes from Colorado 13, to U.S. 40, to Colorado 9 back onto I-70.
CSP asked drivers taking the detour route to be patient.
