DENVER — Great news for Denver fliers!

Capital One and Plaza Premium are opening their newest airport lounge at Denver International Airport, effective Nov. 3.

“It is an honor to welcome Plaza Premium Lounge to DEN and be able to offer this amenity to our passengers," DIA CEO Phil Washington said. "We understand the importance of enhancing the customer experience, and adding the Plaza Premium Lounge will significantly contribute to this goal. With its modern and luxurious amenities, our passengers have more options to comfortably relax before their flight and enjoy a truly exceptional travel experience.”

The lounge is located in the airport's A Concourse (near gate A34) on the Mezzanine level and is expected to be open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to a press release.

With the new opening, it brings Capital One's lounge portfolio to three, with locations also at Dallas-Fort Worth and more recently, Washington Dulles International Airport.

The new Capital One lounge addition comes as competition heats up the airport lounge space. Just recently, United Airlines unveiled two new United Clubs, along with a new grab-n-go space called United Club Fly

With the new addition, DIA is now home to eight lounges.

  • American Airlines Admirals Club (Concourse A)
  • Capital One Lounge (Concourse A)
  • Delta Airlines Sky Club (Concourse A)
  • USO Lounge (Concourse A)
  • United Club (Concourse A)
  • United Club East (Concourse B)
  • United Club Fly (Concourse B)
  • American Express Centurion Lounge (Concourse C)

"Our mission is to enhance travel by reimagining and elevating the airport journey for travelers, and we're thrilled to announce the opening of our third Plaza Premium Lounge in the United States," Pascal Belanger, senior vice president of Americas of Plaza Premium Group said. "This new lounge, in partnership with Capital One, enables us to strengthen our connection with the Mile High City and also presents us with the exciting opportunity to introduce a premium lounge experience to travelers from across the U.S. and around the world as they pass through DIA."

Lounge amenities

Listed amenities of the lounge include Wi-Fi,  grab-n-go options, dining stations, a full bar, relaxation rooms and shower suites. For all the beer aficionados, those 21 and older can enjoy a selection of locally-sourced beers.

How to access the lounge

Holders of Capital One's Venture X Rewards card and the Venture X Business, along with authorized users, get unlimited access for themselves and up to two guests. Cardholders of Capital One's Venture Rewards card and Spark Miles for Business get two free visits a year, with any additional visits costing $45 per person.

Regular travelers can still visit the lounge at a cost of $65 per person.
