DENVER — A new flight between Denver's airport and Rhode Island will launch this spring.
Breeze Airways on Tuesday announced nonstop service from Denver International Airport to TF Green Rhode Island International Airport starting Thursday, May 16.
Service will be operated from Denver to Providence, Rhode Island, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Breeze Airways said the fares on the new route, which will be operated with Airbus A220-300 aircraft, will start from $99 one-way, if purchased by Jan. 29 for travel by Sept. 3, 2024.
Breeze said it operates a fleet of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with a focus on providing efficient and affordable flights between secondary airports, bypassing hubs for shorter travel times. Breeze Airways began operations in May 2021.
With the addition of Breeze Airways, Denver International Airport will have service by 25 airlines.
Denver becomes Breeze’s second destination in Colorado following the airline’s upcoming launch in Grand Junction, with flights to Orange County-Santa Ana, starting Feb. 2, and San Francisco, in May.
"We are excited to welcome Breeze to the [DIA] airline family," said DIA CEO Phil Washington. "Providing additional options for travel will stimulate new demand and enhance the experience we are able to offer to DEN’s growing passenger base."
"Breeze is thrilled to add Denver to our route map, as we continue to connect both non-served and underserved city pairs," said Breeze Airways Founder and CEO David Neeleman. "With Denver, Breeze will serve 49 cities nationally."
