COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A new airline is arriving in Colorado Springs – Avelo Airlines, an ultra-low-cost-carrier (ULCC) in the U.S., introduced a new non-stop route from Colorado Springs Airport (COS) to Los Angeles via Hollywood-Burbank Airport (BUR).
The new route makes its inaugural flight on May 3 and will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. According to the airline, introductory fares start at $49 between the two cities.
"Our exclusive non-stop service to LA makes getting to Southern California easier than ever. Colorado Springs residents can now say hello to affordable, convenient and reliable air travel," said Andrew Levy, chairman and CEO of Avelo Airlines.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Avelo Airlines to the Colorado Springs Airport. Avelo inspires travel through world-class service at affordable prices and their purpose aligns with ours. Although we’re Colorado’s small airport, we’re big on customer service and friendliness and we are looking forward to having Avelo join our airport family,” said Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation for Colorado Springs Airport.
