THORNTON, Colo. — A woman was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 25 in Thornton early Monday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Thornton Police Department (TPD).
The crash happened just after 4 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate near 136th Avenue.
A red Ford Explorer went off the road, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, TPD said. No one else was in the vehicle.
One traffic lane and the on-ramp from 136th Avenue are closed as a result of the crash and investigation. All other lanes through the area are open.
