GENESEE, Colo. — Westbound Interstate 70 reopened after a crash in the area of Exit 251 and US 40 in El Rancho, three miles west of Genesee, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

The closure is due to a crash, CDOT said, and those driving in the area should expect delays.

The crash, which involved two motorcycles, took place at around 10 a.m. Saturday, a Colorado State Patrol spokesperson said. Three people were taken to a hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown, according to the spokesperson.

The spokesperson said a detour is being used at US 40.

CDOT cameras showed lanes were back open around 12:15 p.m.
