NORTHGLENN, Colo. — Fire crews were battling a vehicle trailer fire on northbound Interstate 25 in Northglenn Monday morning.
The fire closed the three right lanes of northbound I-25 at 136th Avenue. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) said the vehicle fire was located at Exit 225 (136th Avenue) at Mile Point 225.1. The lanes reopened around 10:45 a.m.
North Metro Fire Rescue District said there are no injuries and Brighton Fire Rescue District and Thornton Fire Department are assisting on scene.
North Metro Fire Rescue said the fire was in the back of a trailer. The fire consisted of trash from a construction site, such as highly flammable carpeting and drywall.
