KUSA - The Colorado Department of Transportation is starting phase two of their reconstruction project on U.S. 36 from Lyons to Estes Park.
U.S. 36 will be closed to through traffic starting on Tuesday, July 29 through Aug. 9.
It will reopen during the weekend to all traffic.
To get to Estes Park from Lyons, use Highway 7. From Loveland, take U.S. 34.
CDOT is trying to permanently fix the road after the September 2013 floods. CDOT says they are keeping a close eye on the recent rain and how it affects the road and other flood-prone corridors.
