BROOMFIELD, Colo. — One person died in a crash that shut down the eastbound lanes of U.S. 36 on Wednesday in Broomfield.
The Broomfield Police Department said on social media just before 4 p.m. Wednesday that all eastbound lanes of U.S. 36 were closed at Wadsworth Parkway for a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle. Just before 6:40 p.m., police said all lanes were back open.
On Thursday, Broomfield police said that the crash had resulted in the death of the motorcycle driver. Their identification will be released by the coroner's office.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
