CASTLE PINES, Colo. — Two people were killed and another was injured in a crash on southbound Interstate 25 early Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on southbound Interstate 25 near the Happy Canyon Road exit, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 28-year-old man, was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Three people were inside the other vehicle that was involved in the crash. Two of those people were killed and the third was taken to the hospital. It's not clear how badly the person who was injured was hurt.
The driver who was taken into custody also had minor injuries, the State Patrol said.
It's not clear exactly how the crash happened. None of the people involved have been identified at this point.
Southbound I-25 between Castle Pines Parkway and RidgeGate Parkway was closed for about 30 minutes around 9 a.m. while the Colorado State Patrol used a drone to investigate this crash.
