A rockslide Wednesday morning closed CO 133 near the east end of Paonia Reservoir in western Colorado.
This is near McClure Pass and milemarker 29.5.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says CO 133 is closed in both directions.
The rockslide left more than 100 tons of debris on the highway and caused extensive damage to the road and a concrete barrier.
No vehicles were hit.
Traffic is being diverted at the Collbran turn-off and Kebler Pass.
CDOT crews are on scene and working with a geohazards contractor to break down the large boulders and clear the highway.
CDOT says the highway will probably be closed until the weekend.
Alternate routes include Interstate 70 and US 50.
