AURORA, Colo. — East 40th Avenue has reopened after a two vehicle crash early Wednesday morning that injured multiple people.
Just after 2 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles, Aurora Police posted on the social platform X. Police said preliminary information showed one of the vehicles ran through a red light and hit the second vehicle in the intersection.
Five people were taken to the hospital including one person who had serious injuries and one person who had life-threatening injuries, police said. The other three had minor injuries, according to police.
East 40th Avenue at Pena was closed for hours as police investigated the crash. The road reopened around 6:30 a.m.
