DENVER — A 22-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Denver forced an hours-long closure of the highway and sent multiple people to the hospital Sunday morning.
The wreck was reported in the westbound lanes of I-70 from Colorado to York just before 6:30 a.m. According to a spokesperson for the Denver Police Department, it was not one giant chain crash, but rather three clusters of vehicles that all crashed within a stretch of I-70.
No one was seriously injured in the wreck, but seven to eight people were transported to the hospital.
The highway reopened just before 9 a.m.
Although this wreck has cleared, people are urged to stay off the roads this morning if possible.
