WELD COUNTY, Colo. — Southbound Interstate 25 two miles south of the Wyoming border is shut down Monday night by Colorado State Patrol (CSP) troopers after a fatal crash.
The crash happened when CSP said a driver hit a pedestrian at just before 8 p.m. The pedestrian was on southbound I-25.
The pedestrian died at the scene, according to CSP.
The highway will remain closed during the crash investigation, CSP said. They were not able to provide an estimated time the roadway would reopen.
