DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — An early morning crash on Interstate 25 between Castle Rock Parkway and Happy Canyon Road closed multiple northbound lanes Thursday.
South Metro Fire Rescue hazmat was called to the scene to assist, according to a post on the social media platform X.
Initially, no injuries were reported, but in an update, South Metro Fire Rescue said that three people were taken to the hospital. Two of them had serious injuries, and one had minor injuries.
As of 10 a.m., all the vehicles involved in the crash were removed and a second lane was open. Crew were still on scene cleaning up a full spill.
Drivers were told to expect delays in the area and to use alternate routes to avoid the area.
