DENVER — Southbound lanes of Interstate 225 in Denver reopened after a fatal crash early Tuesday morning.
The Denver Police Department said it was investigating a fatal crash involving a motorist and a pedestrian.
The motorist remained on scene and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased, Denver Police posted on X at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the victim was a woman, but didn't provide any additional information about the circumstances of the crash.
Police had closed southbound I-225 during the investigation. Lanes reopened just before around 5:48 a.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
