2 taken to hospital after Broomfield crash

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Police are investigating a serious crash that caused road closures and sent two people to a hospital Friday, the Broomfield Police Department said on the social media platform X.

Police reported on the two-vehicle crash on 144th Avenue just after 3:30 p.m.

Due to the crash, all eastbound lanes of 144th Avenue were closed from Sheridan Boulevard, in front of Holy Family High School, to the entrance of the Broadlands Golf Course, police said. Just before 6 p.m., the department said one lane was back open and that they expected the rest to reopen momentarily.

No further information was shared about circumstances of the crash and the extent of the victims' injuries.
