DENVER - A Denver shuttle bus driving down the 16th Street Mall toward Union Station when a bicycle courier hit the side of the bus, according to RTD.
"He was extremely lucky he didn't go under the bus," Scott Reed with RTD said. "The paramedics took him to the hospital."
RTD said the crash happened on 16th Street Mall in between Welton and California streets.
According to Reed, the cyclist came into contact with a bus wheel and sustained serious injuries.
No one on the bus was injured during the wreck. The mall shuttle continued to run after the incident, after being shut down for about 20 minutes.
