AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department (APD) is investigating a shooting that happened on Interstate 225 near 6th Avenue, Monday morning.
At about 6:44 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area for a report of a shooting, according to police.
A man had suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and was transported to a local hospital, police said.
The victim told police that this was possibly related to a road rage incident. Police did not have information about a suspect as of 7:30 a.m.
APD closed the southbound lanes of I-225 as they tried to locate evidence, according to a tweet from APD. CDOT tweeted the closure around 7:15 a.m.
CDOT reported the road had reopened at about 7:50 a.m.
