AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are investigating a fatal crash between an SUV and a motorcycle that resulted in several closures.
The crash happened at the intersection of South Havana Street and East Tennessee Avenue at around 9:15 a.m., according to a post by the Aurora Police Department on the social media platform X.
The motorcyclist died at the scene and the two SUV passengers were taken to a hospital with "minor injuries," the department said.
All northbound lanes of South Havana Street are closed at East Mississippi Avenue, police said, and two of the southbound lanes of Havana Street are blocked at East Tennessee Avenue.
Drivers can use South Dayton or Peoria streets as alternate routes.
Police said the department's traffic unit is investigating the scene and will keep roads closed for approximately one more hour.
