Verizon Wireless service issue reported in Colorado

Customers without cell phone service should not call 911 to report it.

DENVER — Many Verizon Wireless customers noticed issues with the phone company's network early Friday morning.

According to Verizon's website, there was a known issue in Denver and they were working on a solution. Data, voice and text were limited in the Denver area, according to the company's website.

Verizon customers who don't have cellular service can learn how to use Verizon Wi-Fi calling. Verizon said most network issues are resolved within 12 hours.

Customers without cell service should not call 911 to report it.

"Verizon Wireless is experiencing a large outage in the area," said Jefferson County's 911 service "Please contact Verizon Wireless for information on the outage and continue using 911 to report emergencies needing police, fire or medical assistance."
