KUSA – After gaining Denver City Council approval, CenturyLink is bringing its newest product to Denver metro residents.

The company's new high-speed Internet video service is called Prism TV. On Tuesday it became available in the mile-high city. Colorado consumers also have access to it in areas like Jefferson County, Douglas County and Colorado Springs.

Denver, Omaha and Las Vegas are currently the only communities that have both 1-gig Internet speeds and Prism TV.

Prism TV offers high-definition channels, DVR throughout the entire home and allows people to watch on any device they want. The product also has a wireless set-top box which means TV-watchers can set up their TV anywhere in their house – including the backyard.

Consumers in the qualified areas can sign up for Prism TV online or in a CenturyLink retail store.

The service costs anywhere from $50 to $95 a month.
