Returning for its 13th year in a row to Colorado, this sprint triathlon at the Aurora Reservoir featured just over a quarter mile swim, a 10-mile bike ride, and three-mile run.
Women of all ages turned out for the event.
Many of them say they sign up not to win, or even be competitive, but to encourage and inspire others, especially by being able to finish.
The Danskin Triathlon series is held in eight cities nationwide and is the longest running and largest women's multi-sport event in the world.
