DENVER — The Mexico and Colombia soccer match, scheduled for Saturday, May 30 at Empower Field at Mile High was canceled on Thursday morning. The ongoing COVID-19 crisis was cited as the reason.
The decision was made by Soccer United Marketing (SUM) and the Mexico Football Federation (FMF).
In a release provided by the stadium, there is some hope the match could happen down the road.
"Both federations (SUM, FMF) have agreed to work together to explore all options to reschedule the match during the current World Cup cycle," the release said.
Tickets for the Denver match purchased via Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded. Tickets that were purchased at local shops and other points of sale will be reimbursed at point of purchase.
In addition, Empower Field also canceled or postponed several other events on Thursday.

The Bacon and Beer Classic has been postponed. The stadium and the B&B Classic are currently working on a new date.

MONSTER JAM – SATURDAY, APRIL 18 – POSTPONED
The Monster Jam show has been postponed, and the parties are working together to identify a rescheduled date. Until a future date is announced, fans should hold on to their tickets as they will be contacted as soon as a new date is confirmed.

Tickets purchased on www.Ticketmaster.com will automatically be refunded to the original form of payment. All other tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.
