Former Golden High School standout and current Portland Thorns FC midfielder Lindsey Horan has been named MVP of the National Women's Soccer League for the 2018 season.
Horan, who also plays for the U.S. women's national soccer team, was one of five MVP finalists, including Megan Rapinoe, Sam Kerr, McCall Zerboni and Lynn Williams.
Horan led Portland to the NWSL playoffs, starting 23 games this season, for a total of 2,070 minutes.
The Coloradan scored 14 goals and 3 assists in the regular season.
