The Broncos have shut down the best of the best but on Sunday they’ll see a team with fire power like they haven’t seen.
The Atlanta Falcons are coming to town with the best offense in the NFL.
“Obviously, offensively right now they’re lighting it up,” said Gary Kubiak. “They’ve been special, very difficult to deal with. Playing here, the noise, our fans are always great. They’re tough to handle wherever you play. They’re playing extremely well right now so it’s a big challenge for us.”
And the players love that challenge. The Broncos, like Darian Stewart, enjoy being told how good their opponent is.
“It always motivates us to go out there each week and shut down our opponent. Every week we have a new task and this week they happen to be the number one passing offense so that’s a big task for us and it’s our duty to go out there and shut it down," Stewart SAID.
“We lick our chops every week," Added TJ Ward. "This is another opportunity to go out there and prove ourselves and put another performance on film. It doesn’t matter who we get week-to-week. We want to do our best so it doesn’t matter who’s coming inhere.”
The Falcons 38 points per game average is more than the Broncos offense has scored in any game this season, but with a defense like Denver has, they don’t need to put up those Star Wars type numbers.
Then again, Emmanuel Sanders would love to have a 300 yard receiving game like Julio Jones did last week.
“If I had a game like Julio Jones, I wouldn’t be up on this podium. I’d probably retire. My last touchdown, that 70-[yarder], that would’ve been the last time y’all saw me (laughing). That was awesome, man. That was awesome. Kudos to him. Kudos to the Atlanta Falcons offense. We’ve definitely got our hands full.”
Which is just the way the Denver defense likes it.
