Maybe it was the homefield advantage, or maybe the Denver Outlaws were just the better team.

Playing in the MLL semifinals on Friday night at the University of Denver's Peter Barton Stadium, the Outlaws rallied past the Bostons Cannons for the 17-15 win.

Denver was down 7-3 after the first quarter and 13-10 at the halftime before locking it down on defense in the second half and relying on veteran John Grant Jr. to get them to the finish line.

Grant Jr. scored five goals in total, Chris Aslanian added four tallies and Zach Currier netted three of his own. Goalie Dillon Ward finished with 11 saves.

The Outlaws will face the Chesapeake Bayhawks at 11:00 a.m. Sunday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The game will air on ESPN2.
