LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — A 76-year-old man was pulled from Dowdy Lake in Red Feather Lakes on Tuesday morning after the Larimer County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an overturned kayak, the department said in a release.
Responders began CPR and the man was transported by helicopter to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, the release says.
The man was not wearing a personal flotation device, according to the Sheriff's office.
The release says the county Coroner's Office will release the man's name as well as cause and manner of death at a later time.
