Colorado golf champion welcomes visitors to Denver airport

Wyndham Clark is returning to his native Colorado for the BMW Championships after competing at the Paris Olympics.

DENVER — A Colorado native and Paris Olympic golfer is now welcoming travelers to Denver's airport.

Professional golf star Wyndham Clark has recorded a new message welcoming travelers arriving to Colorado at Denver International Airport (DIA).

Clark is returning to Colorado after competing at the Paris Olympics for Team USA.

"Welcome to Denver, this is Wyndham Clark, a proud Coloradan and professional golf champion," Clark says in the new recording. "Colorado takes center stage this month as the best players in the world visit the Mile High City. I hope you enjoy your time with us and I hope to see you at the championship."

A Denver native who attended Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Clark won the U.S. Open in 2023 which gave him his first major.

Clark will participate in the 2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines on Aug. 22-25.

Clark won state championships at Valor Christian in 2009 and 2011 and finished a runner-up the other two years. High school classmates of Clark included NFL running back Christian McCaffrey and Paris Olympics heptathlete Anna Hall.
