DENVER — The Vegas Golden Knights host the Colorado Avalanche in each team's season opener on Wednesday.
The National Hockey League (NHL) announced the Opening Day roster for each club.
The Avalanche have 21 players on their opening roster, including reigning MVP Nathan MacKinnon and stars Cale Makar, Mikko Rantanen, Devon Toews and Logan O'Connor.
Gabriel Landeskog, Artturi Lehkonen, Valeri Nichushkin and Tucker Poolman will begin the roster on the Avalanche's injured and/or non-roster spots.
The Avalanche play their first home game on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at Ball Arena against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
