Wil Lutz named AFC special teams player of the month

The Broncos kicker made 11 of 11 field goals in three November games, including the game-winner in Buffalo.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo — Even with a bye week mixed in, Denver Broncos' kicker Wil Lutz led the AFC with 11 made field goals in the month of November.

By going 11-of-11, Lutz was named the AFC's special teams player of the month.

The Broncos went 3-0 in November with Lutz making a game-winning 36-yard field goal (after receiving a mulligan from a 41-yard miss) as time expired in a 24-22 win at Buffalo in a thrilling Monday night win on Nov. 13.

Lutz then went 5-of-5 in a 21-20 Sunday night win against the Minnesota Vikings.

Back-to-back primetime wins by 2 points and 1 point came thanks to Lutz going 9-of-9 in field goals.
