From hilarious TV appearances to incredible charity work, Peyton Manning made an impression both on and off the field during his 18-year career.

Here are what we believe to be the top 9 off the field moments for Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning.

They are listed In no particular order:

  1. On March 24, 2007 Manning hosted Saturday Night Live in what was easily one of the funniest episodes in the last several years. Most memorable was the United Way digital short where Manning nailed kids with footballs while supposedly working as a mentor.
  2. Manning took over the airwaves for several years appearing in so many commercials, we don't know when he had time to play football. Some highlights include appearing as a fairy with his brother Eli for Direct TV, rapping with both Eli and his dad Archie also for Direct TV, calling audibles in a new Buick, cheering on movers and baristas for Mastercard, and, of course, singing about Chicken Parm for Nationwide
  3. Manning was a guest on David Letterman's Final Show in May of 2015. The Denver quarterback was number three on the "Things I've always wanted to say to Dave" top 10 list, stating "You are to comedy what I am to... comedy."
  4. One of Manning's other memorable late night appearances was this year on Jimmy Fallon. He appeared alongside Magic Johnson and played "Egg Russian Roulette" where they each had to smash an egg on their head to find out if it was hard boiled or raw. Naturally, Manning's was raw.
  5. While Manning was rehabbing, he had practice squad wide out Jordan "Sunshine" Taylor run routes for him since the others were practicing with Osweiler. And apparently Manning was impressed. He couldn't stop talking about Taylor as the next great receiver. So, when the team traveled to San Francisco for Super Bowl 50, Manning bought the young receiver and custom suit.
  6. In September of 2015, Peyton Manning surprised a group of Denver 2nd graders. One of the student's parents won a bid a Payback Foundation charity auction. The prize: Manning would visit their child's classroom. The visit was kept secret from most of the students and when the quarterback arrived he sat in a rocking chair at the front of the room and offered advice on school and academics, encouraging the captive audience to make sure their studies remain a top priority.
  7. Manning's charity, thePeyBack Foundation, gives $1 million to youth-based charities in Colorado, Indiana, Tennessee and Louisiana: each of the town's he's lived in. It was founded in 1999 and helps to promote success in disadvantaged communities by providing kids with opportunities for leadership and development.
  8. The Manning Passing Academy, held every year in Louisiana, is run by Manning, Eli, and Archie. The intense camps trains kids, college players and coaches on offensive football skills. Teddy Bridgewater, Matt Stafford, Sam Bradford, Kirk Cousins, Andy Dalton, and Philip Rivers are just a few of the NFL greats who have helped at the camp. Many young college and professional football players, including Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Matthew Stafford, Philip Rivers, Andrew Luck, Sam Bradford, Nick Foles and Marcus Mariota attended.
  9. In April 2014, Manning served as the keynote speaker at Boy Scouts breakfast in Denver. He encouraged the kids to stay true to their values and spoke about the value of hard work, while also telling jokes and posing for pictures with the scouts.
