DOVE VALLEY, Colo. — The Broncos are getting to personally know some of the best draft prospects from local colleges.

According to sources, the Broncos recently visited with Wyoming inside linebacker Easton Gibbs and Colorado State outside linebacker Mohamed Kamara at the team's Dove Valley headquarters. The Broncos also plan to hold a local visit with Colorado State cornerback Chigozie Anusium, according to a source.

Gibbs came in at 6-foot, 3/8-inch, 232 pounds at the NFL Combine three weeks ago and ran his 40 in 4.73 seconds. He averaged 106.3 tackles a year his last three seasons for the Cowboys.

Kamara drove down from Fort Collins last week to meet with the Broncos. He held one-on-one interviews with Broncos general manager George Paton and various defensive coaches.

The difference between a local visit and top 30 visit is a team cannot pay for travel and lodging for a prospect. But the local prospect still gets the same type of headquarters visit as the top 30 players. Kamara has top 30 visits scheduled with other teams, plus a local visit in mid-April with the New York Jets. Kamara is from Neward, N.J.

Prior to the Rams' Pro Day on Monday, Kamara visited privately with New York Giants outside linebackers coach/pass rush coordinator Charlie Bullen.

Kamara had 13.0 sacks for the Rams last year to earn Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year.

Colorado State defensive back Chigozie Anusiem runs onto the field during the second half against Washington State, Sept. 17, 2022, in Pullman, Wash.

Anusiem is 6-foot-1, 200 pounds and ran his 40 in the low 4.3s during the CSU Pro Day that was attended by coaches and scouts representing 28 NFL teams. Anusiem had an impressive showing at the East-West Shrine Game week and though he was snubbed from a Combine invite, he should get some top 30 visits.
