Friends and family gather to celebrate Pat Bowlen at private service

A private service was held for Broncos owner Pat Bowlen on Monday, June 24 in Denver for friends and family to celebrate his legacy.

On Monday, June 24, friends and family of Pat Bowlen gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of the former Denver Broncos owner. 

Bowlen died the night of Thursday, June 13 with his family at his side after a long fight with Alzheimer's.

After an open-to-the-public tribute hosted by the Bowlen family and the Denver Broncos at Broncos Stadium at Mile High last week, friends and family attended a private service at Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. 

Bowlen's seven children, former players and many more friends and family attended the service Monday.
