DENVER — "I just want to be where I'm wanted and appreciated."
That is what Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton tweeted on Friday.
It was followed by multiple reports, saying that Denver has received trade calls regarding Sutton, as well as wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. The idea would be to get speed in return.
It seems like a lot of people are saying they would trade Sutton, but i think he should stay a Bronco.
He's in the prime of his career at 28 years old. This will be his third season removed from the ACL injury. He's coming off the most receiving yards he's had since his 1,000-yard season in 2019, and hopefully a second year with quarterback Russell Wilson helps with their chemistry.
If Denver wants speed, why not look at the draft?
Pair a young kid from the third or fourth round, where other NFL teams have found really good wideouts, with Jeudy -- who came on with Wilson toward the end of last yea -- Sutton, and don't forget about Tim Patrick, who's coming off his ACL injury.
Wilson needs as many proven options around him as possible. Don't take one of them away.
