DENVER - The Broncos definitely kept things interesting on day 3 of the 2018 NFL Draft - announcing their picks between cliff jumpers and Mariachi music at Casa Bonita.
Broncos fans lined up outside the Mexican restaurant Saturday morning anticipating the picks as well as the opportunity to meet and get autographs from Broncos cheerleaders and the team's mascot, Miles, among others.
The Broncos began the day waiting, hoping for Iowa inside linebacker Josey Jewell. Thankfully, Jewell was still there for the Broncos to take with the rounds’ sixth pick, No. 106 overall.
That pick was announced by former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer, who stood atop the cliff as divers performed in front of him.
After taking Jewell with their first fourth-round draft pick, the Broncos took Penn State receiver DaeSean Hamilton with their second pick in the round, No. 113 overall.
Former Broncos center K.C. Jones announced the pick with the help of the Miles and the restaurant’s mariachi band.
Not to be missed in all of this is the fact that Miles showed up in a Speedo flexing an equally impressive and disturbing set of muscles.
