Broncos add offensive lineman, cornerback after tryouts

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos announced Thursday they have signed free-agent offensive lineman Jake Brendel and cornerback Trey Johnson.

Jake Brendel, a fourth-year offensive lineman, has appeared in 21 regular-season games (3 starts) with the Miami Dolphins.

Trey Johnson is a second-year cornerback who spent his rookie season with the Pittsburgh Steelers on injured reserve.

The players were tryout participants in the Broncos’ voluntary mini camp this week.

The Broncos also announced Thursday they have released cornerback Craig Mager.
