CENTENNIAL, Colo. — 9NEWS has obtained detailed on the new contract for Broncos' right guard Quinn Meinerz.
It's officially a new six-year, $76.801 million contract (the sixth year is voidable) that includes a four-year, $72 million extension, (He also has $2 million All Pro escalators that brings max value to $84.801 million). His first two years (including 2024) of $24 million of fully guaranteed. He has another $21 million that is likely to be guaranteed in the future.
The year by year breakdown of Meinerz' deal:
2024: $12.555 million total, fully guaranteed. ($11.5 million signing bonus; $1.055 million salary.)
2025: $11.445 million, fully guaranteed. ($1.17 million salary; $10.275M option bonus).
— So by first year of extension, Meinerz will have collected $24 million.
2026: $15.366 million ($14.856M salary; $510,000 in per game roster bonus or $30,000 per game).
— The salary is fully guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2025 league year; it’s guaranteed for injury only as of now.
2027: $18 million ($17.49 million salary; $510,000 per game roster bonus)
— $6.144 million is guaranteed for injury now; it becomes fully guaranteed on 5th day of 2027 league year)
2028: $18 million ($17.49 million salary; $510,000 roster bonus)
2029: $1.435 million (voidable option year that is for salary cap purposes but doesn't apply to overall value of contract).
—There is also an escalator where if he makes the Associated Press All Pro first team, Meinerz can collect as much as $2 million in salary increase in 2026, $2.5 million additional salary in 2027 and up to $3.5 million in 2028.
All in all, it makes Meinerz the NFL's third or fourth highest-paid right guard, depending on the contract terms are sliced.
