DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb has agreed to a new contract worth $136 million over four years, sources confirm to WFAA.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the deal also includes a $38 million signing bonus -- the largest ever given to a wide receiver.
The deal, which will earn Lamb a staggering $34 million per year, will make him the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, Schefter reported.
The contract agreement also brings an end to Lamb's ongoing holdout from training camp, with the Cowboys starting their regular season campaign in less than two weeks.
For as lucrative of a contract as Lamb is getting, the deal is in the range of what was expected, as Lamb was anticipated by most analysts to get north of $30 million per year.
The upcoming 2024-2025 season previously represented that final year of Lamb's rookie deal.
He's been productive for the Cowboys since being selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2023, catching 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Lamb, an Oklahoma alum, has 32 career touchdowns and 5,145 receiving yards.
The 2023-2024 season was Lamb's best season as a pro, but he had already established himself as the Cowboys' top receiving target by then, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark in each of the last three years.
With this signing, the Cowboys' front office can turn their attention to other star players of theirs whose contracts are nearing their end. Quarterback Dak Prescott's contract is set to expire at the end of this coming season, and pass rusher Micah Parsons' rookie deal expires at the end of the 2025 season.
