Mountain West football voters expect improvement from Colorado State

LAS VEGAS — Voters are cautiously optimistic about seeing an improved Colorado State football team in 2024.

The Mountain West released the preseason all-conference poll voted by members of the media on Wednesday.

Boise State, the 2023 champion, was picked first for the 14th season in a row. CSU was picked fifth after an eighth-place (3-5 league record) finish in 2023.

It's a sign of confidence that several returning stars in Year 3 under Jay Norvell will lead to increased success. CSU was voted seventh in the 2023 preseason poll.
