BOULDER, Colo. — The Colorado football team has landed another nationally televised game after it routed the University of Central Florida on Saturday night.
The Big 12 Conference announced Monday that Colorado's next home game, against Kansas State on Saturday, Oct. 12, will kick off at 8:15 p.m. Mountain time. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The is the sixth time in six games to start the season that Colorado football be broadcast nationally.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw for 290 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to help Colorado match its victory total for all of last season in a 48-21 victory over Central Florida.
Travis Hunter had a touchdown catch and interception for the Buffaloes (4-1, 2-0 Big 12), who have won three straight games following a road loss to Nebraska. Hunter struck a Heisman pose after his second-half interception.
The Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders will appear this season on all four networks in the same season for the first time in school history. Games this season have been scheduled to air on FOX, CBS, ABC and NBC.
With five games selected for network television this season for the Buffaloes, the program matched the total from 2023, which is the most in a season in program history.
Colorado's Week 1 season opener vs. North Dakota State was ESPN's highest-rated college football opener in seven years, garnering an average of 4.8 million viewers.
"Whether you like it or not, you want to see it," Sanders said of his program.
